Yes, I said it.

I rented the game from Blockbuster earlier today, and after playing it for about an hour, I can honestly say that I HATE this game. And I've never really used the words "hate" and "Mario" in the same sentence. This has to be the most frustrating Mario game I've ever played.

(yeah, more frustrating than Super Mario Bros. 2 {The Lost Levels})

Now, let me go on the record and say that I don't really like using the Wii Remote as a game controller. I usually use the Wii Remote to navigate across the menus. I honestly prefer using the Classic Controller or the Gamecube Controller to play the games...unless I can't.

Which means that I am not a fan of games that primarily use the Wii Remote. Call me an "old-timer," but the best thing I love about the Wii is the Virtual Console, and speaking of that...

I got "Street Fighter II': Champion Edition" for the Virtual Console. Now, what is this, you ask? Well, it's the Street Fighter II game for the PC-Engine (the Japanese counterpart of the TurboGrafx-16). Now, this game was only released in Japan, but it's still a decent port of Street Fighter. If you have a chance, and you're willing to spend 700 Wii Points, check it out. One thing to note, though, that if you're using the Wii Remote to play the game, you'll have to use the (-) key to switch between punches and picks.
